Louisville, KY – Russ Smith scored 25 points, leading No. 14 59 win over DePaul on Saturday.
The Cardinals (14-4, 2-3 Big East) had lost four of five and were playing without leading scorer Kyle Kuric, but got 20 points from Chris Smith and 13 points and 14 rebounds from Gorgui Dieng to earn the much-needed win on Saturday.
Brandon Young had a team-high 14 points for the Blue Demons (10-7, 1-4), losers of three straight.
