Carson City, NV – O.J. Simpson will remain in a Nevada prison, but was granted parole on a few of his convictions for armed robbery and kidnapping in 2008.
The Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners on Wednesday released its decision after last week's parole hearing.
Simpson went before a panel last Thursday and appealed for leniency, while expressing regret for his transgressions.
In September 2007, a group of men led by Simpson entered a room at the Palace Station hotel casino in Las Vegas and took sports memorabilia at gunpoint. He was sentenced to a minimum of nine years in prison.
According to the Nevada Appeal, Simpson won parole on kidnapping and armed robbery charges. The paper said he will remain in prison on deadly weapons enhancements convictions, and can try for parole on those sentences in one year.
