Key stat: McIlroy's first two rounds — 66-67 — match the start Woods made in 2000 when he won the PGA at Valhalla.
Missed cut: Besides Woods, other prominent players who won't play on the weekend include U.S. Open champion Martin Kaymer and former PGA champ Keegan Bradley.
Noteworthy: Three players 50 years and older — Kenny Perry (54 on Sunday), Colin Montgomerie and Vijay Singh (both 51) — made the cut.
