Renton, WA – The Seattle Seahawks placed rookie defensive tackle Jesse Williams on injured reserve

The 6-foot-3, 325-pound Williams, who was selected in the fifth round of April's draft, has been bothered by a knee problem throughout training camp.

Additionally, Seattle terminated the contract of wide receiver Brett Swain and released linebackers Kyle Knox and Craig Wilkins, wide receiver Perez Ashford, tight ends Jameson Konz and Andrei Lintz, defensive tackle Martin Parker and long snapper Kyle Nelson.
