Defensive end Michael Bennett suffered a scary-looking injury Sunday during the Seahawks-Texans game.

Seattle's big offseason free-agent acquisition (No. 72) had his head bent back while hitting Houston quarterback Matt Schaub just before halftime.

Bennett lay on the field face down for several minutes while trainers attended to him. He was eventually strapped to a cart and taken off the field.

Bennett's father, who was in the stands, was shown on the FOX broadcast obviously worried for his son. However, sideline reporter Jennifer Hale gave us some good news:

Encouraging news for #Seahawks Michael Bennett: he's at hospital but has all feeling and all movement. Lower back injury. @NFLONFOX
