The Greek Football Federation has handed a two-year contract extension to national team coach Fernando Santos which runs through the 2014 World Cup.

The previous deal for the 57-year-old Santos ran through Euro 2012, but the new contract will see the Portuguese manager guide Greece through the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

Santos took over for Otto Rehhagel following the 2010 World Cup and has the club on a 16-game unbeaten streak.

Greece qualified for Euro 2012 by finishing on top of its group and was drawn into Group A for this summer's competition along with Poland, Russia and the Czech Republic.
