San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - University of San Diego starting quarterback Keith Williams has left the program and will seek a transfer at the completion of the spring semester.

Williams, who has two seasons of eligibility remaining, helped USD capture an outright Pioneer Football League championship and reach the FCS playoffs for the first time this past season. To clinch both, he connected on a 44-yard touchdown pass to Brandon White on the game's final play of a 32-27 win over Valparaiso on Nov. 15.

The 6-foot-1 native of Fairfield, California, passed for 2,127 yards and 21 touchdowns against nine interceptions. He also rushed for two touchdowns.

USD finished with a 9-3 record last season.
