Juan Carlos Salgado earned a unanimous decision over Jonathan Barros in their super featherweight title fight Saturday at Gimnasio Hidalgo.

The three judges scored the fight 115-112, 116-111, and 116-111 in favor of Salgado (26-1-1), who earned his third consecutive title defense.

In the middle rounds, Salgado sustained a cut over his left eye when Barros (34-3-1) led with his head as the action worked its way to the inside.

Salgado was able to work around the cut, keeping Barros at a distance over the final few rounds to secure the victory.
