Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Sabres have terminated the contract of forward Linus Omark.

Acquired from Edmonton on Dec. 19 for a conditional sixth-round draft pick, Omark had just two assists in 13 games with the Sabres. He was placed on waivers Feb. 7, cleared the following day, but refused an assignment to Rochester of the AHL.

The 27-year-old Swede totaled eight goals and 22 assists in 66 career games with the Oilers.

Omark was selected in the fourth round by Edmonton in the 2007 draft.
