Buffalo, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - The Buffalo Sabres signed defenseman Andre Benoit to a one-year contract on Wednesday.
Financial terms of the deal were not released.
Benoit played in 79 regular-season games with the Colorado Avalanche last season, totaling a career-high 28 points with seven goals and 21 assists.
For his career, the 30-year-old has 39 points in 120 games with the Avalanche and Ottawa Senators.
