ST. FRANCIS, Wis. – Rookie forward Jabari Parker is anxious for training camp to get started with the Milwaukee Bucks.
The first practice is Tuesday under new coach Jason Kidd. He is leading a team in transition with a new cornerstone in Parker, who was the second overall pick in the NBA draft.
Kidd said at the team's media day Monday that defense will be the focus of the first few days of camp. The first preseason game is Oct. 8 against Memphis.
The Bucks have one of the league's youngest rosters, which includes Parker and forward Giannis Antetokounmpo (YAHN-iss ah-deh-toh-KOON-boh), both 19.
Kidd declined to offer specific milestones for success, except to improve every day. Milwaukee finished 15-67 last year.
Milwaukee opens the regular season on Oct. 29 in Charlotte.
