Rodgers probable to face Cowboys

Green Bay, WI (SportsNetwork.com) - Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers' injured calf isn't serious enough to keep the former league MVP out of Sunday's NFC Divisional Playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys at Lambeau Field.

The Packers officially designated Rodgers probable for Sunday's clash, with head coach Mike McCarthy telling reporters following Friday's practice that he does not expect Rodgers to have any limitations during the game.

"Aaron came through the practice, everything OK," McCarthy said. "He looks like he's moving fine to me right now, so we're not going to change any approach for how we want to attack the Dallas defense."

Rodgers has been dealing with a strained left calf, which various outlets reported earlier in the week to be a slight muscle tear, since Green Bay's Week 16 game against Tampa Bay. The All-Pro signal-caller then aggravated the injury during the Packers' division-clinching win over Detroit in the final week of the regular season.

After Rodgers sat out Wednesday's practice, McCarthy said he took about 50- to-60 percent of the reps during Thursday's workout.

On the Cowboys' side, middle linebacker Rolando McClain and defensive end Jeremy Mincey each received medical clearance on Friday from concussions each sustained in last week's victory over Detroit in the Wild Card Round. Both starters are listed as questionable, however.

Also questionable is linebacker Anthony Hitchens, the player involved in the controversial pass interference call that was later waved off during the fourth quarter of Dallas' comeback win over the Lions. The rookie has not practiced this week as he attempts to recover from an ankle sprain.

Offensive tackle Doug Free is expected to miss a fourth straight game for Dallas with an ankle injury.
