Tampa, FL – Rochester Lancers forward Mauricio Salles claimed the Major Indoor Soccer League's Player of the Week honor Tuesday for Week 8.
Salles scored nine points, including a pair of 3-pointers, to lead the Lancers past the Norfolk SharX on Thursday, 26-10, as the squad moved back to .500 for the season.
Syracuse's Eric Reed had 24 saves as the Silver Knights defeated the Missouri Comets, 18-8, on Friday in last week's only other match.
The season resumes with a six games this week, starting with Rochester's match against the undefeated Milwaukee Wave on Tuesday. Missouri hosts the Wichita Wings on Wednesday, Norfolk hosts Rochester on Thursday, and Wichita hosts Missouri on Friday.
Syracuse hosts Norfolk and Milwaukee hosts Baltimore on Saturday. Rochester hosts Norfolk on Monday to kick off next week's action.
