Report: Ron Rivera's brother passes away after battle with cancer

Ron Rivera lost his older brother, Mickey Rivera, to a two-year battle with pancreatic cancer on Tuesday. As David Newton of ESPN reports, Rivera broke the news through his Twitter account with the following post.

Rivera has always been a man to give back to the community and put a smile on the face of others. Apparently, his great perspective on life in general seems to come from his brother.

"Knowing what he's been battling and going through, any of the problems I've had -- even this fire -- seem insignificant," Rivera told the The Charlotte Observer at the time.

Rivera will be heading to his brother's funeral services in Reno, Nevada, which may result in him missing the start of training camp. Obviously, this is far more important, and we wish the entire Rivera family the best during this tough time.
