New York Jets offensive left tackle D'Brickashaw Ferguson is retiring, ESPN first reported Friday.

Ferguson, 32, is a three-time Pro Bowler who has spent his entire 10-season NFL career with the Jets. They drafted him fourth overall in 2006, and he has started every game over the past 10 seasons.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the Jets had asked Ferguson to take a pay cut -- in the hopes of using that savings to re-sign quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Ferguson's retirement frees up $14.1 million in cap savings, but it means the Jets have to fill a hole at tackle.
