Report: Francona to leave Red Sox

Following an epic collapse, it appears Terry Francona will no longer be Boston's manager.

According to Foxsports.com, Francona will meet with team management on Friday morning and the Red Sox are expected to decline their club options on him for 2012 and '13, rather than firing him.

The Red Sox went 7-20 in September and squandered a nine-game lead in the AL wild-card race to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Francona led the Red Sox to World Series titles in 2004 and '07.
