Ashburn, VA – The Washington Redskins signed free agent cornerback David Jones on Tuesday.
Jones has appeared in 93 games during a five-year career that includes stints in Cincinnati and Jacksonville. The Wingate product played five games for the Jaguars last season and had four tackles.
To make room on their roster, the Redskins waived/injured rookie cornerback Chase Minnifield.
