Entering their Week 5 game against the Atlanta Falcons, the Washington Redskins were allowing an average of just 78 rushing yards per game -- second least in the NFL. In Week 5, the Falcons gashed the Redskins' run defense for 176 yards rushing on 32 carries.
Falcons starting running back Devonta Freeman finished with 153 rushing yards on 27 carries, and his longest rush of the game was just 18 yards. Freeman was able to constantly churn out chain-moving gains while keeping the Falcons in short third down situations.
The Redskins will look to get back to their winning ways -- by shutting down the run in Week 6, but it won't be easy. The Redskins match up in Week 6 with the New York Jets, a team that has averaged the sixth-most rushing yards per game with 127.2 per game.
