Ashburn, VA (SportsNetwork.com) - Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed will not play in Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars due to a hamstring strain he sustained in the season opener.
Reed exited last Sunday's 17-6 loss at Houston in the first quarter with the injury and was held out of practice during the week. The Redskins officially declared him out on Friday's final report.
The 2013 third-round pick caught 45 passes totaling 499 yards with three touchdowns during a solid rookie season.
Cornerback Tracy Porter (hamstring) and reserve linebacker Akeem Jordan (knee) were also ruled out for the Jacksonville game, while defensive lineman Kedric Golson is doubtful after not practicing throughout the week because of a groin injury.
Outside linebacker Brian Orakpo is listed as questionable with an ankle sprain but practiced fully on Friday. The veteran pass rusher was also termed questionable prior to last week's contest, which Orakpo did play in.
Also questionable for Sunday's matchup is kicker Kai Forbath, who is dealing with soreness in his right groin.
