Detroit, MI – Nicklas Lidstrom had two goals and an assist to game skid with a 5-0 victory over the Anaheim Ducks.
Howard made 22 saves for the Red Wings, who won for the first time since October 21st.
Johan Franzen had a goal and two assists for Detroit. Niklas Kronwall and Henrik Zetterberg also lit the lamp.
Ducks goaltender Jonas Hiller turned aside 40-of-45 shots before being pulled in the third period. Dan Ellis made five saves in relief for Anaheim, which has lost five in a row.
