Red Sox win on Affleck's birthday for first time since 1997

The Boston Red Sox just gave Ben Affleck the greatest birthday present.

Affleck, who is a big-time Red Sox fan, hadn't seen his favorite team win on his birthday since "Good Will Hunting" was released in January of 1998. The Red Sox were 0-15 on Aug. 15 since the classic movie came out.

That drought finally came to an end on Affleck's 43rd birthday on Saturday, when Boston clobbered the Seattle Mariners 22-10 at Fenway Park. Finally, the curse of Ben Affleck's birthday is over.
