The Boston Red Sox have re-signed left-handed year deal.

Miller had been arbitration eligible, but likely would have been non-tendered by the December 12 deadline had he not worked out an agreement.

Once a highly-regarded prospect, Miller appeared in 17 games (12 starts) for the Red Sox last season and was 6-3 with a 5.54 earned run average. In 65 2/3 minor league innings a year ago, he pitched to a 2.47 ERA.

The No. 6 overall draft pick by Detroit in 2006, Miller is 21-29 lifetime with a 5.79 ERA in 96 games (66 starts) for the Tigers, Florida Marlins and Red Sox.
