Baltimore Ravens center Matt Birk, who has been dealing with a knee issue, returned to practice on Thursday, while wide receiver Lee Evans missed practice for a second straight day.

Birk was held out of practice on Wednesday with his injury, but Evans is still sidelined with an ankle problem that kept him out of Baltimore's season- opening rout of Pittsburgh.

The 30-year-old posted two catches for 45 yards in last Sunday's win at Tennessee.

In addition, tackle Terrence Cody (head) and defensive end Cory Redding (toe) took limited reps Thursday after being held out of practice on Wednesday. Cornerback Chris Carr (thigh) was limited for the second day in succession.
