St. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork.com) - The St. Louis Rams signed quarterbacks Austin Davis and Brady Quinn on Wednesday.

The moves come after Sam Bradford was lost for the season Sunday due to a torn ACL.

Panthers safety Mike Mitchell pushed Bradford out of bounds on a scramble during the fourth quarter of Sunday's 30-15 loss. Though Bradford was able to walk off the field, he was carted to the locker room from the sideline.

Bradford had thrown for 1,687 yards with 14 touchdowns and four interceptions in seven games this season. He was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.

The Oklahoma product had been the Rams' starter since the club selected him with the top overall pick of the 2010 NFL Draft. He has thrown for 11,065 yards with 59 touchdowns and 38 interceptions in 49 games, all starts.

Davis and Quinn will serve as backups to veteran Kellen Clemens, who was named the starter on Monday.
