Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – Rain was the big winner Wednesday round match for top seed Agnieszka Radwanska was pushed back for a second straight day.
The world No. 5 Radwanska was leading Uzbekistan's Akgul Amanmuradova 6-2, 3-3 when played was called because of inclement weather. The match was also postponed because of rain here on Tuesday.
Poland's Radwanska is fresh off her big title un Dubai last week.
In some completed action on Wednesday, fifth-seeded Croat Petra Martic topped Japan's Kurumi Nara 6-2, 3-6, 6-0 and qualifier Su-Wei Hsieh of Taipei bested Aussie Casey Dellacqua 6-1, 7-5 in some second-round action on the hardcourts at Kuala Lumpur's Bukit Kiara Resort.
In addition to Radwanska, Thursday's schedule will feature matches for second- seeded former world No. 1 Jelena Jankovic and seventh-seeded reigning Kuala Lumpur champion Jelena Dokic. The Serbian Jankovic will encounter 37-year-old American Jill Craybas, while the former top-10 performer Dokic, who got rained out on Wednesday, will battle fellow Aussie Olivia Rogowska in the second round.
Dokic topped Czech Lucie Safarova in last year's finale here to capture her first WTA title in nine years.
This week's titlist will earn $37,000.
