Derek Carr must be thankful he's not a front office evaluator this time of year.
He could never pick five or six players from the Raiders' current wideout group. The second-year quarterback likes each target too much.
"These guys have been working their tails off," Carr told the team's official website. "There's not one guy out there that we say, 'I don't know about that guy.' Whenever they got on the field, all of them can make plays."
Oakland's positional renovation stretches further than just Amari Cooper or Michael Crabtree. Receiver Rod Streater returned to practice on Sunday. Brice Butler is turning heads with highlight-worthy grabs. And contributors like Kenbrell Thompkins are making their mark, too.
Carr told reporters he's excited to reconnect with Streater on the practice field. The same could go for any of the Raiders' current 11 camp receivers.
"They all bring something different, whether that's the route-running ability, the deep-ball skills, them catching it and what they do after the catch, they all have something different," Carr said. "It's a battle."
