When Jake Matthews was drafted with No. 6 overall pick back in the 2014 NFL draft, the Atlanta Falcons were hoping they had found Matt Ryan's protector of the future. While he's had a bit of up-and-down since being drafted, he put together an impressive 2015 season and is getting some praise for it.

Matthews has been named as one of the most improved players of 2015 by Pro Football Focus.

Via the team's official Twitter:

Pro Football Focus pointed out that Matthews moved into their top-20 for tackles, with a grade of 79.5 out of 100. Matthews played in all 16 games and PFF points out that his pass blocking efficiency was an impressive 95.7 in 2015. Expect more big things from Matthews in the future, as it seems Atlanta truly has found their franchise left tackle.
