FC Porto made it three wins from three games thanks to a second-half goal from Jackson Martinez to lift the club to a 1-0 win at Pacos Ferreira.

Porto won its first two matches by a combined score of 6-1, but had to work for the three points on Sunday as Martinez scored in the final 15 minutes to hand Pacos its third successive loss to start the season.

Martinez has scored in each of Porto's three league games so far, and the club leads second-place Sporting Lisbon by two points after Sporting played to a 1-1 draw with Benfica over the weekend.

Fredy Montero scored his league-leading fifth goal of the season in the 10th minute for Sporting, but his opener was canceled out in the 65th by Benfica's Lazar Markovic.

Benfica now owns just four points from its first three games and has already dropped five points back of defending champions Porto.

Ramon Cardozo scored two goals in the second half of Setubal's 4-1 win at Guimaraes, Arouca edged Rio Ave, 1-0, with an 88th-minute goal from Roberto Rodrigo, Mateus netted a brace to help Nacional to a 3-2 win against Belenenses, 10-man Maritimo managed to claim a 1-1 draw with Olhanense thanks to a late equalizer from Fidelis, while Gil Vicente managed to earn a 1-0 win over Braga despite playing the final 33 minutes with nine men.
