Final-round play has resumed in the Australian Open after a three-hour suspension because of strong wind Sunday.

Gusts of up to 50 mph at The Lakes caused television towers to sway, scoreboards to topple over, balls to move on the fairways and greens, and blew sand out of the bunkers.

Play was suspended with the final groups, including third-round leader John Senden, still waiting to tee off. Despite the long delay, officials still hoped to complete the tournament Sunday.
