New York, NY – Pittsburgh Pirates center fielder Andrew McCutchen has been voted the National League Player of the month for July.
In 25 games, McCutchen, who also claimed the NL monthly honor for June, hit .446 with seven home runs and 15 RBI. He led the majors with 41 hits, and his 22 runs scored, .739 slugging percentage and .510 on-base percentage ranked second among NL players.
Washington's Ryan Zimmerman, Milwaukee's Aramis Ramirez, Arizona's Jason Kubel, St. Louis' Matt Holliday and San Francisco's Buster Posey also received votes for the award.
