Philadelphia, PA – The Philadelphia Phillies selected the contract of right-handed pitcher Ethan Martin from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to make his major-league debut Friday against the Atlanta Braves.
The 24-year-old started 21 games for the Iron Pigs and put together a record of 11-5 to go with a 4.12 ERA and 107 strikeouts over 21 starts.
The Phillies received Martin in a trade that shipped Shane Victorino to the Los Angeles Dodgers last July.
A corresponding roster move will be made prior to Friday's game.
