Werder Bremen revealed Thursday that the club has completed a permanent deal for striker Nils Petersen.

Petersen had been on loan with Bremen from Bayern Munich, but after a successful season that saw the 24-year-old bag 11 goals for the Green-and- Whites, the move has become permanent.

"This is the news I've been waiting for, now I am very happy that everything turned out the way I liked it," Petersen told the club's official website. "I am highly motivated for the new season. I want to help so we again make a big step forward."

Petersen joins Bremen on a four-year year contract for an undisclosed fee.
