Pittsburgh, PA – The Pittsburgh Penguins have re-signed year contract extension.
The deal, which keeps Vitale in Pittsburgh through the 2013-14 season, is worth an average value of $550,000 per year.
Vitale, 26, has recorded three goals and 10 points in 44 games in 2011-12, his first full season in the NHL.
