The New England Patriots placed offensive lineman Tyrone Green on injured reserve and released offensive lineman Kevin Haslam and wide receiver Michael Jenkins.

The 6-foot-2, 316-pound Green started 13 games for the San Diego Chargers last season. Green played with San Diego from 2009-12 prior to signing with the Patriots on May 13. He was released later that month before re-signing on July 25.

Haslam, who was claimed off waivers and awarded to New England from San Diego on May 22, is a veteran of three NFL seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars (2010-11) and Chargers (2012).

Jenkins caught 40 passes for 449 yards and two touchdowns in 16 games with Minnesota last year. He was signed by the Patriots as a free agent on March 28.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound wide receiver is a veteran of nine NFL seasons with the Atlanta Falcons (2004-10) and Vikings (2011-12), catching 354 passes for 4,427 yards and 25 touchdowns in 130 contests.
