Hainan, China (SportsNetwork.com) - Inbee Park fired a 6-under 67 on Sunday to outduel Suzann Pettersen and win the World Ladies Championship.

The world No. 1 Park, who won six times on the LPGA Tour last season, earned her first victory of the year and second career Ladies European Tour title at 24-under-par 268.

"Everything seems to be working quite well for me, from ball striking to putting. Everything was great today so I'm just happy to be here and win my first tournament of 2014," said Park.

Pettersen shot a 1-under 72 on Mission Hills' Blackstone Course to finish in second place at 19-under 273, while So Yeon Ryu (69) took third at minus-16.

Amateur Minjee Lee (69) and Ariya Jutanugarn (71) shared fourth at 15-under.

Park and Pettersen entered the final round tied at 18-under, but Park immediately grabbed a lead she would not lose with back-to-back birdies at the first and second.

After Park and Pettersen both bogeyed the third to remain two strokes apart, Park birdied the fifth and sixth to move to 21-under and claim a 3-stroke lead as Pettersen had also birdied the sixth to again reach 18-under.

Pettersen was able to cut her deficit to just one when she birdied the ninth and Park bogeyed the 10th, but Park bounced back with consecutive birdies at the 11th and 12th to stretch her lead back to three.

Park would go on to birdie the 15th and 18th to finish at minus-24 and claim her 5-stroke victory as Pettersen parred her final nine holes.

"There were a few extra elements of weather that we hadn't seen earlier, but I feel like I played average, nothing better," Pettersen said. "I didn't go out and shoot 6-under like (Park) did."

Park also won the tournament's team competition with Ryu. Their combined score of 40-under was 28 strokes better than the team of Shanshan Feng and Xiyu Lin.
