Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork.com) - The Carolina Panthers have signed wide receiver Marvin McNutt and promoted center Brian Folkerts from their practice squad.
McNutt had been on the practice squad of the Miami Dolphins. The Iowa product was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the sixth round of the 2012 draft and spent most of the season on the club's practice squad, but was active for four games last year.
Folkerts began the season on Carolina's 53-man roster and was inactive for the first two games before being waived and signed to the club's practice squad.
The Panthers also signed linebackers Ben Jacobs and Jeff Tarpinian to the practice squad.
