Palace signs Puncheon from Southampton on loan

Premier League newcomers Crystal Palace have signed Jason Puncheon on season-long loan from Southampton, the club confirmed on Wednesday.

Puncheon, 27, arrived at St. Mary's Stadium three years ago from Plymouth Argyle and has made 80 appearances for the Saints, but was not part of manager Mauricio Pochettino's squad for the club's 1-0 win over West Bromwich last Saturday.

The move sees Puncheon, who began his career at Wimbledon, link up with manager Ian Holloway, for whom he played at Blackpool during a short loan spell in 2011.
