The San Diego Padres placed outfielder Jeremy Hermida on the 15-day disabled list with a left adductor strain on Saturday.

Hermida has appeared in 13 games for the Padres this season, batting .250 with three walks, two runs batted in and two runs scored.

An eight-year veteran with the Marlins, Red Sox, Athletics, Reds and Padres, Hermida is a career .257 hitter with 65 home runs, 250 RBI and 248 runs scored.

San Diego recalled outfielder Blake Tekotte from Triple-A Tucson to fill the roster spot.

Tekotte made his MLB debut last season while playing in 19 games for the Padres. He hit .176 with a double, a triple, one RBI and a run scored.
