San Diego, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Justin Upton went 3-for-4 with a home run and three RBI to lead the San Diego Padres to a 8-6 win and a series sweep over the Colorado Rockies on Sunday.

Derek Norris and Jedd Gyorko also went deep for the Padres, who have won three straight since a three-game losing streak.

James Shields (3-0) got the win but struggled in his outing, allowing five runs on nine hits with seven strikeouts in 5 1/3 innings.

Kyle Kendrick (1-4) was charged with the loss after giving up six runs on six hits in five innings on the hill.

Nolan Arenado homered twice among his three hits and drove in three for Colorado, which has lost five straight. Charlie Blackmon also hit two homers in the loss.

"He probably left a couple of pitches up that he probably wished he could take back. We put some good swings on the ball," Arenado said of Shields.

Blackmon led off the game with a homer to right, then the Padres got that back and one more when Upton smacked his seventh homer of the season with Matt Kemp on base.

Arenado tied the game in the fourth with a solo shot to left, Carlos Gonzalez followed with a single and Michael McKenry chased him home with a double for a 3-2 lead.

Yangervis Solarte's groundout in the home fourth knocked in Kemp, who was hit by a pitch to begin the frame, and Norris made the score 5-3 with a two-run shot to left.

Arenado's second homer of the day brought in Corey Dickerson and tied the game back up at 5-5. San Diego got the run back on Upton's double in the home fifth.

A pinch-hitting Gyorko his a two-run homer in the sixth to increase San Diego's lead to 8-5.

"The thing about Jedd is we have seen two slow starts here (the last two seasons). I think we all know Jedd is a better offensive player than he has shown. Hopefully this can give him a little jump," Padres manager Bud Black said.

Craig Kimbrel notched his eighth save of the season, but he allowed a one- out homer to Blackmon which accounted for the final margin.
