Denver, CO – The San Diego Padres activated infielder Chase day disabled list Monday.
Headley, 27, was placed on the DL August 8 with a fractured finger on his left hand. In 107 games for the Padres this season, Headley had batted .292 with 28 doubles, one triple, four home runs and 43 RBI.
The Colorado native arrived in the major leagues in 2007 and has spent his entire career with San Diego. In 523 career games, Headley is a .269 hitter with 36 home runs and 203 RBI.
Headley was selected by the Padres in the second round of the 2005 draft.
