San Diego, CA – The San Diego Padres activated catcher Yasmani Grandal from the 15-day disabled list Friday.
Grandal, who had been on the DL since July 31 with a right oblique strain, batted .312 with five homers and 15 RBI in 24 games in his first year in the majors.
The Padres also placed catcher Nick Hundley on the 15-day DL. He's out with a right knee contusion. Hundley has started 56 games this season and is hitting .157 with three homers and 22 RBI.
