Ortiz, Ross lift Red Sox past Rays

David Ortiz went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and an RBI, while Cody Ross added a three-run home run as the Boston Red Sox defeated the Tampa Bay Rays, 6-4, on Sunday.

Boston has won the first three in the four-game set by a combined score of 31-11.

Carlos Pena smacked a two-run double for the Rays, who were 3-for-14 with runners in scoring position and left 10 men on base.

Matt Moore (0-1) allowed six runs on eight hits and four walks in 6 1/3 innings for Tampa Bay, which has lost four straight contests and five of six.
