Baltimore, MD – The Baltimore Orioles selected the contract A Norfolk on Friday.
Eyre posted a 5-5 record with a 3.31 earned run average in 42 combined games with Sacramento, Oakland's Triple-A affiliate, and Norfolk this season.
The 33-year-old right-hander, who signed with the Orioles as a minor league free agent on August 3, last pitched in the majors with the Texas Rangers in 2009.
Eyre is 5-6 with a 5.14 ERA in 92 career games with Minnesota and Texas
The Orioles also transferred pitcher Jake Arrieta (elbow) to the 60-day disabled list.
