NORMAN, Okla. – Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops says quarterback Trevor Knight will miss his second straight game with a neck injury Saturday when the Sooners host Kansas.
Knight was injured in the fourth quarter against Baylor, and he missed the next game, Oklahoma's 42-30 win over Texas Tech last Saturday. He has an 11-3 record as Oklahoma's starter, and he was the MVP of the Sugar Bowl last season after passing for 348 yards and four touchdowns.
Cody Thomas will start his second straight game Saturday. He ran for 103 yards on eight carries and passed for 133 yards against Texas Tech to help the Sooners overcome a 21-7 deficit. The victory pushed Oklahoma back into the rankings at No. 23 after a one-week absence.
