Susie Sanchez isn't your typical NFL cheerleader. She's a grandmom.

Sanchez, a 37-year-old married mother of three and grandmother of one, auditioned four times before being selected as a Raiderette for the 2011-2012 season, according to the team's official website.

"When her number was called, she was amazed and overwhelmed," the website reads. "It meant a lot to her personally to continually try for something and ultimately achieve it."

Sanchez, who currently works as a sales assistant at a news station in Salinas, Calif., has been a performer since age 8 and has always dreamed of becoming a Raiders cheerleader. Her selection to the team represents the "culmination of her self-determination and never giving up on her childhood dream," according to the website.

According to Yahoo Sports, Sanchez is five years younger than the oldest cheerleader in the NFL -- the Bengals' 42-year-old Laura Vikmanis.
