Columbia, SC (SportsNetwork.com) - Tiffany Mitchell notched 20 points and eight rebounds to lead fourth-ranked South Carolina past Florida, 69-55, on Sunday.
Alaina Coates tallied 16 points, 12 boards and five blocks off the bench for the Gamecocks (25-2, 13-1 SEC), who have won nine straight. Aleighsa Welch contributed 12 points and five rebounds.
Jaterra Bonds netted 20 and Kayla Lewis added 15 points and nine rebounds for the Gators (17-10, 7-7), who have lost four of their last five.
Florida scored the first seven points of the contest before South Carolina answered with a 10-0 burst. The Gamecocks led the rest of the way.
