The 15th-ranked Wisconsin Badgers will try to bounce back today as they welcome the Penn State Nittany Lions to the Kohl Center for Big Ten action.

Wisconsin leads the all-time series between the programs by a mark of 27-10 after its victory in the most recent matchup on January 31st. The Badgers picked up a 52-46 win over the Nittany Lions at the end of last month by holding Penn State to 2-of-10 shooting from beyond the arc in the contest. The Nittany Lions have won two of the last four meetings after losing 12 in a row to the Badgers.

Patrick Chambers is in his first season at the helm of Penn State, and so far has an 12-15 record to show for it. The Nittany Lions improved to 4-10 in conference play their last time out with a 69-64 triumph over the Iowa Hawkeyes. Penn State managed to convert 22-of-28 at the charity stripe and tied its season-low with just eight turnovers to get past Iowa. The Nittany Lions have the second worst scoring offense in the Big Ten with an average of 62.1 ppg. Opponents have been able to average 64.7 ppg against Penn State this year.

Tim Frazier is pacing the Nittany Lions with 18.4 points and a league-best 6.3 assists per game. The junior point guard continued to dazzle on Thursday as he scored 18 points and swiped four steals in the bout with Iowa. Cammeron Woodyard played well against the Hawkeyes, as he finished with 13 points, while Jonathan Graham and Jermaine Marshall, the team's second leading scorer, added 10 points each.

Bo Ryan has guided his Badgers to a 19-7 overall record and an 8-5 mark in Big Ten action this season. Wisconsin lost for the second time in three games on Thursday as it fell 69-55 to the Michigan State Spartans. The Badgers simply could not find a way to score against Michigan State, as they shot a poor 34 percent from the field in the losing effort. Wisconsin's success this season has been powered by its phenomenal effort at the defensive end, as it allows an NCAA-low 51.0 ppg.

Wisconsin is led by its star point guard Jordan Taylor, who carries team- leading averages of 14.5 points and 4.2 assists per game. Taylor went 3-of-13 from the floor and finished with 13 points and five assists in the loss to Michigan State. Ryan Evans is a serviceable front court player as he is second on the team in scoring (10.5) and the Badgers' top rebounder with 6.8 boards per game. Jared Berggren added 10 points in the loss to Michigan State.
