Glasgow, Scotland – Celtic was turned away in its bid to clinch the Scottish Premier League title on Sunday at the Ibrox Stadium against Rangers as Ally McCoist's men claimed a 3-2 win in the Old Firm derby.
The home side got goals from Sone Aluko, Andy Little and Lee Wallace, while Celtic had two players sent off as Cha Du-Ri and Victor Wanyama both saw red.
Celtic made things interesting in the closing minutes as Rangers defender Carlos Bocanegra was sent off, allowing Scott Brown to pull a goal back from the penalty spot before a stoppage-time goal from Thomas Rogne.
The result prevents the Hoops from lifting the league title, while Rangers avoids suffering a fourth successive defeat at home for the first time in the club's history.
Aluko got Rangers off to a great start with a nice individual effort that put the club ahead after 11 minutes.
Cha received his marching orders just before the half-hour mark when he pulled down Wallace on the edge of the area to prevent him from getting in on goal.
Celtic was able to hold out until the 72nd minute when substitute Little made it 2-0 just seconds after stepping onto the field by scoring on the rebound from close range.
The lead was stretched to 3-0 by Wallace in the 77th when he won the ball in midfield and ended up getting it back inside the area to roll underneath goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
The visitors rallied late with Brown scoring from the penalty spot after Bocanegra was sent off, but Rogne's headed goal came too late to prevent Celtic from extending its unbeaten streak to 22 games.
