ND women (24-0) off to best start in school history
Chestnut Hill, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Notre Dame women's basketball team is off to the best start in the program's history.
The second-ranked Fighting Irish downed Boston College 82-61 on Thursday for their 24th straight win to open the season.
Kayla McBride poured in 21 points, Jewell Loyd added 18 and the Irish (24-0, 11-0 ACC) topped the 23-0 start set by the 2000-01 national title team.
Kat Cooper led Boston College (12-13, 3-9) with 13 points.
