Nationals reinstate Zimmerman from DL

Pittsburgh, PA – The Washington Nationals reinstated third baseman Ryan Zimmerman from the 15-day disabled list Friday and optioned Anthony Rendon to Double-A Harrisburg.

Zimmerman, who was sidelined with a hamstring injury, batted .226 with 11 RBI prior to the DL stint.

Rendon, 22, filled in at third base during Zimmerman's absence, but hitting .240 in eight games.
